they had that feature in Motorstorm. It was very difficult to use.

thing is, the environments in Crysis look spectacular, provided you have a computer with '07+ hardware to run it. that being said, the vehicles in crysis pale in comparison to the level of detail of those found in GT5.

But that's to be expected; one's a sandbox game set in a jungle, one's a racing game.

The Gran Turismo series has always been nothing short of a technical masterpiece with each iteration. GT5 will be no different.

no, the native resolution in game is 1280X1080 then upscaled to 1920x1080 and 2x supersampled. Replays are full 1920X1080 but it adds post-processing effects like anisotropic filtering, blur, depth of field etc...

not a big nascar fan myself, but with Days of Thunder and GT5 having the '09 Nascar license, it seems PS3's the way to go for Nascar racing.

considering it just came out and has hardly had time to sink into the market, it makes sense few would have one, let alone know about them.

Hasn't outsold the previous iterations of Gran turismo...

If I myself am considered to be a casual gamer... I have a PS3 with only 2 games currently, out of the 10 or so I've owned since 2006 (I haven't even touched in over a month), a gaming-class PC I built last year but is used primarily for visual/audio software, and a G27 wheel, but I only play ocassionally.

Is that 'hardcore gamer' worthy?

...I personally found MGS2 to be the best in the series as well.

Big ups to Sony on taking second place, they certainly deserve that position.

And also, to my personal favorite automotive company, the Bayerische Motoren Werke, or as you all know it as, BMW, ranking #4 :)

Simulation info? PD isn't probably going to divulge that info... although in my recollection, no one's really asked about GT5 on its technical level.
Fortunately, there's a bunch of people who can vouch for GT5's realism. There's the guys over at Nissan, Citroen, Mercedes, Ferrari, Audi, Lucas Ordonez, Sebastian Loeb, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Mika Hakkinen... to name a few.
I don't know if you're really into racing or not, so I can't say I really exp...

The number-one show for car enthusiasts meets the number-one racing franchise of all time... Seems like the perfect match.

That is an absurdly low price for GTAIV. Just make sure your computer can run it...

There's two available.

@1.6 "GT5's AI and physics was crap compared to Forza's"

Which is why the GT series is world renowned by auto-manufacturers and Racing Drivers alike. Heck, even Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Blake Davidson were highly commendable of the Gran Turismo series when K.Y took a trip to the Texas Motor Speedway just a few weeks back. Gran Turismo hasn't even attempted Nascar before.

@ 1.2

What in Forza 3 would make them go back to the "drawing board" as you say?
